You can hardly walk in the streets without passing an artisanal street food stall or a farmers market in London these days. These are my favourite markets for eating, drinking or just hanging out.
Food Markets
- Borough Market – one of the largest and oldest food markets in London
Open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm - Maltby Street Market – not too far from Borough Market you’ll find one of the cutest outdoor weekend street market with 30-plus fresh produce stalls
Open Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm - Old Spitalfields Market – a lively East End area full off crafts, quirky shops and food stalls surrounded by street art, restaurants and bars
Open Everyday 11am-5pm - Brixton Village and Market Row Markets – the place to go for foods from around the world in south London. Pop Brixton, another great street food and drinks venue is just around the corner.
Open Everyday 8am-11.30pm - Mercato Metropolitano – one of the best hidden gems in south London. An artisan Italian food market, filled with street food stalls, live music, bars, a cinema, and a deli store.
Open Weekday 8am-11pm, Weekend 11am-11pm - Saturday Market at Duke of York Square – Every Saturday the open-air Fine Food market, offers artisanal and locally produced meat, fish, bread, cakes and more.

Food Halls – NEW!
- Seven Dials Market – A new food market in Covent Garden with a progressive line-up of independent food businesses. Open everyday 11am-11pm
- Mercato Mayfair – Gorgeous food hall in a restored church. Open Monday-Thursday 8am-11pm, Weekend 9am-12am
- Market Hall West End – A large food hall just a couple of steps off Oxford Street. Open everyday 11am-12am
- Arcade Food Theatre – High end food hall, in the Centre Point building, housing multiple mini restaurants, cafes & bars. Open everyday 8am-12am
- Flat Iron Square – a great street food market/court with bars, taking over 7 railways arches) £
